
Over winter break, I assigned myself the project of creating a new sizzle reel for @aafillinois in hopes of promoting the organization further & growing our membership. Through a lot of exploring on After Effects and syncing sequences with the AAF Illinois mission statement, the final product attempts to encapsulate the organization in a little over 1 minute.

To culminate the efforts & contributions of all 400+ members, the American Advertising Federation at Illinois hosts an annual showcase highlighting our members’ work and accomplishments from the school year. As the Chief Executive Officer, I was responsible for planning and executing this celebration as well as the digital assets involved.
Centering around a simple theme following a revised AAF Illinois color scheme, I designed and animated graphics through Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. After experimenting with the mesh gradient tool on Illustrator and designing the layout for hours, I was able to animate the text and other assets that were presented during the event and live streamed through the streaming software OBS.
In total, the 4th Annual AAF Illinois Showcase included over 50 videos with motion graphics, highlighting the work from each of the 13 AAF Illinois agencies, our functions, and executive board members.
I developed these assets alongside Kyle Park, fellow graphic designer who assisted with slide design, and Nityanta Saripalli, secondary editor for additional After Effects support.
